The Yellow House

We used to live in a Blue House (Mama says it was an apartment, but I don't know what that word means--'house' is better). I liked it and I still miss it. I wave "hi" every time we drive by that lovely Blue House.
A few months ago we had to leave our little Blue House behind and move into our new Yellow House. I like our Yellow House a lot--maybe even more than the Blue House. Maybe.

I like that it's Yellow. I like the smooth wooden floors and I love my room. I also really like the back yard. We didn't have one of those at the Blue House. See, here's a picture of the gate that goes to the back yard.

And here it is...our lovely back yard. It's big and wide with lots of space to run and drive our bikes and cars around. There's hard ground and grass and we had lots of room for our toy house. The only thing about it that I don't like is how it turns my feet red and the green table and chairs turn my hands green. Mama says to wear shoes and don't touch the green table, but I'm only three. I don;t have time for shoes and I have to touch everything!

I spend as much time outside as I can, unless it's raining, really cold, or I'm sick. Tommy likes it outside too, but we don't really like going out by ourselves. If Tommy doesn't want to go out, I won't go. If I want to stay inside, Tommy does too. The only times we break this rule are when we have friends over or if Daddy is working in the garden. I'll play outside with friends (like Emma or Thomas or Laney) and if Daddy is pulling weeds or watering plants, I have to be involved.

Anyway, that's our new Yellow House. It's not quite the same as our dear old Blue House, but I like it all right. I guess it's okay that we live here. "It's our very pretty Yellow House."

Growing Big and Loud

Mommy says I'm grow bigger every day. At this rate I'll big like Daddy in no time.
"Yes, I'll be like Daddy! I'll be big and loud and soooooo busy!"

Mommy says I'm growing so much because I eat so much. I'm not much of a breakfast guy, but I love lunch, dinner, and snack times.

I eat every bite of what Mommy gives me, lick the plate (or bowl) and often ask for more. You know, the other day I surprised Mommy and ate two big peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and then some yogurt too. I also like to eat apples, white cheese, soup, rice, chicken, pasta--you get the idea. I like all kinds of food now that I'm getting bigger.

Of course, there's some food I don't like--raisins, orange cheese, sugar cereals, and pears. Yuck!

Mommy likes that I eat so much and I like it too. I like growing bigger. I like how good it feels to have a nice full tummy. And I like the way food tastes. I didn't always like food, you know. I used to poke my food and only eat a few bites. I guess I wasn't growing quite as fast then.

Not like now! I'm growing Big and Loud and Busy! Yep--just like my Daddy!

Snow!

We went to the snow this year. I like the snow, but I was just as interested in the hotel ("botel") we stayed in.
You could see the snow from every window and I got my own bed! At breakfast I was too excited to eat much, but I stared out the window a lot. I saw icicles! They dripped and dripped.

After breakfast, we got dressed for the snow. It took ages! Tommy and I got so bored we played in the closet and popped out to scare Mommy.

It really did take a long time to get dressed, but mostly because I put my coat on wrong and my gloves kept falling off. Aren't snow clothes cool? The best part were my goggles! Aren't they awesome?

Once we got outside, I went straight for the snow and made my first snowball. It didn't work--the snow fell apart when I pressed it together. So, I found some snow that had already frozen into balls and threw them at Daddy.

We explored for a while, but in the end we settled in this back alley. It was so pretty and quiet. And it had a built-in snow path!

We used the snow path a lot when Daddy got the tube out. He pushed us up and down--all over and we never got tired of it (even when we fell off, which we did sometimes). Don't worry, the snow was super soft, so it didn't hurt.

After the tube, we played in the deep snow. Daddy threw us in lots of times and we slid down to the ground. Whoooo! It was great!

I tasted the snow too. It didn't taste like anything, but I teased Mommy and told her it was just like sugar. Ha ha!

Tommy took a lot of breaks. He liked to sit around in the snow and talk to Daddy. So funny! When I wanted to rest I went inside and sipped warm chocolate by the fire. I mean, if you're going to rest, you should do it right!

Mommy was like me--she liked the fire and chocolate, but Daddy liked sitting around in the snow, just like Tommy. Bums!

It's okay, though. I love them both anyway. We had a wonderful day in the snow and I think we should go back. Soon. Now.

Christmas is Done...for now

What did I like about Christmas this year? EVERYTHING!!!
The first fun thing was helping Daddy put up the tree. Then we all got to decorate it with toys and candy and paper chains. We had so many toys we couldn't use them all, but they sure made the tree pretty.
Later we got to visit Santa and I patted one of his sparkling pets. This one is a pony, but most of them were rain-deer (Why are they called rain-deer? Weird).
Of course, some of the best things about Christmas were the music and stories. Daddy taught me Silent Night, Jingle Bells, Away in a Manger--lots of songs! I loved to hear stories about Baby Jesus and his star. I also liked the Grinch--a lot. The Grinch is awesome! Daddy was great and read me so many books!
We also had a big feast... a "Lovely Dinner" with Grandma and Grandpa and everyone in Mommy's family. We wore crowns and ate Roast Beast until our tummies were SO FULL.
And then...the presents. Ah, the presents. And Stockings, and packages in the mail, and candy...I could go on and on. Christmas morning was nothing short of perfect. The tree was all lit up with presents underneath. The Stockings were full to the top with toys and sweets. We had a fire on the TV, and music playing, and breakfast (which I don't much remember because I was too excited to eat anything), and new warm jammies. And then more presents at Grandma and Grandpa's house. And then Pop and Yaya came over and we had more fun!

And now it's gone. Christmas is done. Sigh.

Mommy says Christmas will be back in one year. I don't know if I can wait that long, but I guess as long as I know it's coming I'll be all right.

Wow I love Christmas!!!

I am Super!

Call me 'Super Brady!'
I am Super Strong and Super Fast. No one is as Super me in my Super Suit!

I fly around saving the people (especially babies). See, I can fly because Mommy made me this Super Cape. Do you see the Super B on it? Oh, yeah--I am so super, I even have my own logo.

If you need help, you just call on me--SUPER BRADY!

My Little Family

I am part of a Big Family. Daddy, Mommy, Tommy, and the Baby in Mommy's tummy. I love my Big Family, but I also have a Little Family. In my Little Family, I am the Daddy and my little ones need me to take care of them.
This is my baby, Cuddly Bug (aka: Snuggle Buddy, Snuggly Bug, or Cuddly Buddy). He came into my Little Family when Tommy came into the Big Family. Cuddly Bug is very small and cute and he is easily scared. Really, he's very needy and I usually have him with me so he doesn't get upset. He gets lost a lot because he is so small, but I always find him again. He comes everywhere with me (church, school, the store--everywhere), but he usually stays in the car or Mommy's pocket. He is too small to go inside. He's just a baby.

This is my bigger baby. You know him! Ducky! He has been my friend since I can remember and gives me nice big hugs and kisses. He is too big to take everywhere, but he sleeps with me at night and I keep an eye on him all day. I like to know where he is and what he's up to.

There is one more member of my Little Family, but I don't have a picture of him yet. He's a little black kitten puppet named Pig-a-roo. He's not as big as Ducky, but bigger than Cuddly Bug. He is not scared all the time, but he likes me to tell him how cute and sweet he is. He likes cuddles. He joined my Little Family at Christmas (imagine finding your new baby in your stocking! It was great!) and we love him very much.

So that's my Little Family. They are very important to me and I worry about them all the time. It's okay, though. I love them. That's what family does.

Christmas is Coming!!!

Guess what?!?!? Christmas is almost here! Mommy wrapped the presents and gave them to Santa, the stockings are hung up high (mine is gold), and the Christmas tree is SO pretty! (I helped decorate it, you know).
Christmas is exciting! There's lots of parties and friends (this picture is from our Ward party). We drove up to the temple one night and looked at all the lights and listened to music. I saw Santa twice already (though I haven't seen his sleigh--humph!) and I know Mommy and Daddy have secret sweets and toys hidden all over the house! My favorite sweets are candy canes--mmmm!

There's also LOTS of music at Christmas time. I like the songs about Santa, Frosty the Snowman, Jingle Bells, the Grinch, and Rudolf the Red-nosed Reindeer. But I also like Silent Night, Away in a Manger, and First Noel--Mommy sings those songs at night to help me sleep. I have some toys and books all about Baby Jesus and his Mama and the angels. (Baby Jesus is SOOOO cute!)

I just can't over Christmas. I want it to come today! Mommy says we have to wait a few more weeks, but I don't know if I can wait that long. Yay! Christmas is COMING!!!!
